A Presidency Spiraling Out of Control, That Has Everyone Talking

Despite several policy rollouts, President Joe Biden’s approval rating has remained low, with only 44% of people approving of his job performance and 56% disapproving, according to the latest Fox News national survey. Republican pollster Daron Shaw attributes the poor rating to the Afghanistan withdrawal debacle and the onset of hyperinflation.

The president’s handling of national security, foreign policy, border security, and the economy has received disapproval ratings of 53%, 54%, 60%, and 64%, respectively. Biden’s approval rating is especially low among several key voting groups, including women, voters aged 45 and older, suburban voters, rural voters, and Democrats.

Independents have improved from Biden’s low of 26% last August, with a current approval rating of 35%.

While the president has implemented policies that have received broad support from voters, such as the executive order requiring criminal background checks on gun buyers and the Willow Project, he has not been able to improve his approval rating significantly.

The country is facing many challenges, and Biden’s handling of these issues has not been viewed positively by the majority of voters. As we approach the midterms, it will be interesting to see how the president’s approval rating affects the election outcome.
