Biden’s approval ratings have been declining for months, and his administration has faced numerous challenges in its first year. From the crisis at the border to rising inflation to foreign policy challenges, Biden has struggled to deliver on his promises.
But the poll also reveals that the Democratic party may be struggling to find a clear leader for the future. While Michelle Obama is a popular figure, she has never held elected office and may not be interested in running for president.
Kamala Harris was seen as a rising star in the party, but her approval ratings have been dropping as well.
If the party wants to win in 2024, it needs to find a strong candidate who can unite the party and appeal to a broad base of voters.
Whether that candidate is Pete Buttigieg, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, or someone else entirely remains to be seen, but the clock is ticking for the Democrats to find a leader who can lead them to victory.
