The House Judiciary Committee Republicans are vociferously condemning the Biden administration, accusing it of intentionally implementing policies that have caused the current border crisis, putting both American citizens and migrants at risk and endangering national security.
The open border policies put in place by the Biden administration are the direct cause of the growing illegal migration and drug trafficking problem. The journey to the US border is perilous, with migrants enduring physical, sexual, and mental abuse from traffickers, as well as being sold into slavery. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is failing to act and instead is perpetuating the White House’s narrative.
In response, Republican lawmakers are demanding the resignation of DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, who has claimed the southern border is secure despite ample evidence to the contrary. In fact, Rep. Andy Biggs has even gone so far as to file articles of impeachment against Mayorkas for violating public trust.
The ramifications of the Biden administration’s open border policies are dire, with over 2.3 million migrants being encountered at the US-Mexico border in 2022 and predictions that this number will soar to over 5 million by the end of Biden’s presidency. Some of these illegal aliens are thought to be terrorists with the intention of harming our nation.
The crucial question remains, why is the administration pursuing open border policies? Is it for more votes or for globalist interests in the Western Hemisphere? It is imperative for our lawmakers to hold Biden officials accountable and force them to confront the truth. It is time for tough questions to be asked under oath, for excuses to be put aside, and for action to be taken to secure our border and protect our country.
