In an explosive revelation, former Attorney General William Barr has called on Attorney General Merrick Garland to release a crucial FBI document that allegedly exposes a criminal bribery scheme involving none other than President Joe Biden himself.
Barr, in an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital, emphasized the need for transparency and equal treatment in investigations concerning both former President Donald Trump and the Biden family.
Barr argued that the public deserves to know that the two ongoing investigations related to the Bidens—the one involving mishandling of classified material and the broader one in Delaware—are being pursued with the same level of intensity and dedication as the case against Trump.
Recent reports of possible shenanigans aimed at undermining the Delaware investigation have raised serious concerns, making it even more imperative for Garland to act swiftly.
The FBI document in question, known as FD-1023, alleges that Joe Biden received a staggering $5 million payment from an executive of Burisma Holdings, a Ukrainian natural gas firm, as part of a far-reaching bribery scheme. This payment is believed to have played a significant role in influencing U.S. policy decisions.
The document, dated June 30, 2020, contains detailed accounts from a highly credible confidential human source who had multiple meetings and conversations with a top Burisma executive starting in 2015.
Despite the gravity of these allegations, the investigation into Hunter Biden’s potentially criminal business dealings has progressed at a disappointingly slow pace. This has raised concerns among Chairman Comer and key senators, who are determined to get to the bottom of the matter. Congress still lacks a comprehensive understanding of the document’s contents, leaving many unanswered questions.
Barr stressed that the AG should seriously consider providing Chairman Comer and his Senate supporters with the FD-1023 report they have been demanding, albeit with necessary safeguards to protect the confidential source’s life and safety.
During Barr’s tenure, the document underwent a thorough review process by U.S. Attorney Scott Brady and his team in Pittsburgh to ensure its credibility and relevance. There was no indication that the document contained disinformation, leading it to be routed to U.S. Attorney Weiss in Delaware, who was and still is leading the Hunter Biden probe.
While the Department of Justice has a policy against sharing raw reports, Barr argued that the unique circumstances surrounding this case and the public’s interest call for a more proactive approach. He commended the Hill’s efforts in 2017 to expose the false Russian collusion claims, suggesting that allowing lawmakers to examine the document could prove beneficial, as long as the safety of confidential sources is adequately safeguarded.
