Trump vs. Bragg, You Would Have NEVER Guessed It

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has announced that the state will not cooperate with any request to extradite former President Donald Trump after he was indicted by a Manhattan grand jury. DeSantis cited the “weaponization of the legal system to advance a political agenda” and called it “un-American.”

DeSantis is not alone in his criticism of the indictment. Several leading Republicans have also been highly critical, including 2022 Arizona Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake, who has been mentioned as a potential Trump running mate.

“They just indicted President Trump. Unfortunately for them, this will only make him…stronger. I didn’t think I could possibly support him more, but this political Witch Hunt only strengthens our resolve to fight. We’ve got your back, Mr. President,” Lake tweeted.

It remains to be seen what impact DeSantis’ refusal to cooperate with extradition will have, but it is clear that many Republicans are rallying around Trump and are highly critical of the indictment.
