Trump’s Popularity Tested by DeSantis, That Everyone Is Talking About

Former President Donald Trump’s approval rating continues to struggle in key swing states, according to a new poll from Quinnipiac University. The poll found that in Florida, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, Trump’s approval rating is below 40%, with Florida being his best state at 39%.

In Florida, 54% of voters disapprove of Trump’s job performance, while 43% approve. In Ohio, 56% disapprove, and 40% approve. In Pennsylvania, 58% disapprove, and 38% approve.

Trump won Florida and Ohio in the 2016 presidential election, while Pennsylvania went to Democrat Joe Biden in 2020. These three states are considered key swing states that can make or break a presidential candidate’s chances of winning.

The poll also found that more voters in all three states would vote for Biden over Trump if the election were held today. In Florida, Biden leads Trump 49% to 41%; in Ohio, Biden leads 51% to 40%; and in Pennsylvania, Biden leads 54% to 39%.

The poll suggests that Trump’s continued attacks on the 2020 election and his involvement in the Republican Party’s efforts to restrict voting access may be having a negative impact on his popularity in these key states.
