House Speaker Kevin McCarthy expressed his deep concern and frustration over the FBI’s non-compliance with a congressional subpoena during his appearance on “Fox & Friends” yesterday. McCarthy emphasized that such behavior is completely unacceptable and could pose a severe problem if the bureau continues to disregard its obligations.
The California Republican intends to call FBI Director Christopher Wray and demand an explanation as to why the FBI failed to turn over a crucial document that allegedly contains evidence of a criminal scheme involving then-Vice President Joe Biden.
McCarthy underscored the importance of congressional oversight, stating, “We have the right to seek information from the FBI. Representative James Comer is simply following the information he has uncovered. We need to uncover all the facts.
Isn’t it interesting that foreign countries are funneling millions of dollars to various LLCs connected to the Biden family, including his grandchildren? What is the purpose of these transactions? Why is foreign money flowing while he is in office? These are legitimate questions that demand answers.”
Host Pete Hegseth echoed McCarthy’s concerns, highlighting the astonishing number of 170 suspicious activity reports associated with Biden. One report alone is troubling enough, but the magnitude of this figure raises further suspicions. Hegseth asked, “Who has that many reports?
And why would the FBI withhold this information? It appears they are protecting someone. As members of Congress, it is our duty to exercise oversight over the FBI. If the FBI believes it can withhold information from us, then we have a grave problem on our hands.”
In response to the subpoena, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, a Republican from Kentucky, issued a formal request to the FBI for the document known as the FD-1023 form.
The subpoena was initiated based on information provided by a whistleblower, who claimed that the FBI and Justice Department possessed the document, which allegedly outlines a criminal scheme involving Joe Biden and a foreign national, particularly regarding monetary exchanges for policy decisions.
Despite the deadline set for Wednesday at noon, the FBI failed to comply with the request, citing concerns about confidentiality and the protection of sources and methods vital to national security. Their response did not include the requested documents, which has only deepened suspicions surrounding the agency’s actions.
These developments come in the wake of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee’s press conference, where they revealed new information about the Biden family’s foreign business dealings. Chairman Comer described this as a decisive moment, a judgment day for the Bidens. The investigations continue, driven by the determination to uncover the truth and shed light on potential misconduct.
