Environmental activist and former advisor to several political campaigns, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., has announced his candidacy for the 2024 presidential election.
Kennedy, son of former U.S. Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, aims to end the corrupt merger of state and corporate power and advocate for environmental issues, such as clean water and renewable energy.

Despite being a Democrat, Kennedy Jr. has been a critic of certain government policies, including those related to the environment and Covid-19. He has the backing of 14% of voters who voted for President Joe Biden in 2020, according to a recent USA TODAY/Suffolk University Poll.
Kennedy’s appointment could silence critics of Trump’s handling of Covid-19 and attract Democrats and Independents unhappy with Biden’s policies.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s criticism of vaccine mandates and mRNA jabs may appeal to Republican voters who are skeptical of the Covid-19 vaccine and the government’s handling of the pandemic.
Roger Stone, a political consultant, suggested that Kennedy Jr. could be a strong contender for the 2024 presidential election due to his family’s political legacy and environmental activism.
Stone even said that if Kennedy performed well, Donald Trump should consider drafting him as the Republican vice-presidential candidate in a “bipartisan” unity ticket.
