Another Stance Against Beijing, You’ll Never Guess Who’s Leading The Charge

In a bold move to combat the rising threat from communist China, Republican 2024 presidential hopeful Nikki Haley is unveiling her comprehensive strategy. With a clear focus on protecting America’s interests, Haley aims to tackle the Biden-era green energy mandates, which she believes are a giveaway to Beijing.

For years, Nikki Haley has been advocating for a more assertive approach in dealing with China’s growing influence. And now, she’s taking it up a notch. Her campaign is announcing the expansion of her plan, which includes imposing sanctions on China and revising policies that inadvertently support our geopolitical adversary.

One of the top priorities on Haley’s list is to end the green energy mandates imposed by the Biden administration. These mandates push for a transition away from fossil fuels and towards electric vehicles and solar panels, which, according to Haley and other critics, play into the hands of China and Chinese companies.

Under her presidency, Haley would not only terminate these mandates but also eliminate any related subsidies. Additionally, she aims to prevent states and cities from using federal taxpayer money to purchase Chinese tech, such as drones used by law enforcement and emergency services, which are often manufactured in China. Haley’s plan is to replace these Chinese products with American-made alternatives.

Moreover, Haley intends to address China’s role in the U.S. fentanyl crisis. Illicit fentanyl is produced in Mexico using Chinese precursors and then smuggled across the border. In response, Haley would block Chinese instant messaging and payment apps utilized by Chinese and Mexican criminals, closing loopholes in U.S. customs rules.

The recent Chinese surveillance balloon incident has also raised serious concerns. To counter such actions, Haley is urging the U.S. to withdraw from the Scientific and Technological Cooperation partnership. Although the collaboration is set to expire soon, there’s a possibility it could be renewed by the current administration. Haley’s campaign cites a 2018 project involving weather balloons as an example of how China could exploit such partnerships.

Notably, Haley’s plan staunchly advocates for anti-China sanctions to remain in place. She criticizes the Biden administration for showing delays in implementing human rights-related sanctions and considering lifting sanctions in a potential fentanyl deal. Haley firmly rejects any softening of the U.S. stance.

Haley’s assertive stance towards China aligns with her overall hawkish approach. In a June speech, she emphasized the need for stronger military ties with allies like Japan and South Korea, increased support to Taiwan, and restrictions on exports to China. Additionally, she calls for a ban on Chinese lobbying in the U.S. and the revocation of normal trade relations if the fentanyl crisis persists.

Campaign spokesman Ken Farnaso sums it up best: “”Americans want a president who will lead from a position of strength—not weakness. Nikki Haley is the strongest and most vocal candidate in this race confronting Beijing’s many crimes and atrocities. She is China’s worst nightmare, and Xi Jinping knows it.””

Nikki Haley’s comprehensive plan is a testament to her commitment to safeguarding America’s interests and countering China’s aggression. With her at the helm, the U.S. can be assured of a resolute and principled response to the challenges posed by China’s rise.
