As conservatives, we must reject the dangerous rhetoric being spewed by the likes of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and others who are advocating for ignoring court rulings that do not align with their political beliefs. The rule of law is a cornerstone of our democracy, and without it, chaos and anarchy would reign.
It is important to note that the ruling by Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk, a Trump appointee and opponent of abortion, has raised legitimate questions and concerns about the future of abortion access in America. However, the solution is not to simply dismiss court rulings that we disagree with, but rather to work within the system to effect change.
Conservatives must continue to fight for the protection of unborn life, but we must do so within the framework of our legal system. This means advocating for the appointment of judges who share our values, supporting laws and policies that protect the sanctity of life, and engaging in civil discourse with those who hold opposing views.
We cannot afford to abandon the rule of law in pursuit of our political goals. Doing so would not only be a disservice to our democracy, but it would also undermine the very values that we hold dear.
